Why would you need an IT-Strategy?

Welcome to my very first blog post. Although I’ve contributed to many blogs, sharing my own thoughts on Digital and IT Transformations directly online is a new step for me. Known for my no-nonsense, straightforward approach, writing a blog might seem a bit out of character. However, I’ve reached a point where sharing the knowledge and experiences—from the excellent to the not-so-great—feels not just necessary but essential.

My digital journey began in 1997 during an internship at one of the Netherlands’ first internet agencies, NetlinQ, a time when the internet was still a novel concept to most. Over the years, this experience has deeply influenced my perspective on technology and innovation.

A strategy is neither merely a plan nor an end goal; it becomes relevant and actionable only when it integrates insights from various disciplines within an organization and its contextual environment.
